Effective Communication - Alan Lewis

Born in Cork , Alan Lewis overtook Dave McHugh as Ireland's ‘most capped’ referee during the World Cup. A former fly-half for Old Wesley and an international cricketer, he is managing director of an insurance brokerage in Dun Laoghaire . Alan's international debut was Russia v Germany in 1994 and prior to the world cup had attained 28 international tests. He refereed the 2007 Heineken Cup final when Wasps beat Leicester then had the early summer off to get ready for the World Cup.

He is instantly recognisable, unless you're a welsh commentator, and commands universal respect on and off the field of sport. It is not by accident that I have decided to alter the meeting date to accommodate this world renowned referee. I am grateful for his and Adrian's appearance, and quite frankly I expect a high level of attendance to your society meeting, by the membership, for your development and yourenjoyment.
